Leakage Current Measuring & Monitoring

Leakage Current Measuring & Monitoring

The level of standing leakage current flowing to ground on a typical installation of 230 volts would be expected to be in the region of four to five milliamps under normal conditions.

Leakage Current Measuring & MonitoringThis can of course increase over time due to aging of the installation and equipment connected to it. This will result in an increase in the standing leakage current over time. We need to be able to identify when the standing leakage current is reaching an unacceptable level.

Western Automation can provide measuring and monitoring technology that monitors an installation 24/7. In the event of the leakage current on the installation getting dangerously high our technology will activate an alarm to notify the maintenance personnel so that they can take corrective action in a timely manner.

Our Residual Current Monitoring Technology (RCMs) meets the requirements of IEC62020 and EN62020.
