Company Profile

Western Automation Research & Development Limited (Ireland) was established in 1985. We specialise in the area of RCD technology for use in Residual Current Devices (RCDs) and Residual Current Monitors (RCMs). We are an independent supplier of this technology to companies in the electrical industry world-wide and provide it in the form of printed circuit board sub-assemblies. We work closely with customers in the design and development of residual current products for compliance to IEC61008 (RCCBs) and IEC61009 (RCBOs) as well as socket RCDs (SRCDs to IEC61541) and portable RCDs (PRCDs to IEC61540), or to relevant national standards.

To date, our company has supplied more than three million RCD sub-assemblies to companies around the world.
